Our Agreement

By booking with Wisdom Ethiopia Tours , you’re not merely reserving a spot; you’re entering a commitment to an extraordinary experience. These T&Cs form the foundation of our partnership, outlining participation, payments, and expectations—much like Ethiopia’s timeless rock-hewn wonders.

What’s included in Your Tour

Every Wisdom Ethiopia Tours package is a thoughtfully curated blend of adventure and authenticity. Unless specified otherwise in your booking confirmation, your tour will include:

Accommodation: Handpicked hotels, lodges, or camps that reflect Ethiopia’s unique charm.

Transportation: Comfortable, reliable vehicles to transport you from the vibrancy of Addis Ababa to the stark beauty of the Danakil.

Expert Guides: Local luminaries who bring Ethiopia’s rich history to life with passion and insight.

Meals: A taste of Ethiopia’s culinary heritage, featuring spicy wot and fresh injera, alongside select international options (as outlined in your itinerary).

Activities: Iconic experiences, from the sacred churches of Lalibela to the breathtaking vistas of the Simien Mountains.

Exclusions: International flights (unless specified), visas, travel insurance, personal expenses (such as souvenirs), gratuities, and anything not explicitly listed. Your itinerary will provide a complete overview.

Booking & Payment Process

Ready to embark on your adventure? Here’s how to secure your spot:

Complete our online booking form. We’ll confirm your reservation promptly. Pay a deposit, typically 30% of the tour cost, to lock in your booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure, unless otherwise agreed.

Payment Options: We accept bank transfers , (details provided at booking). All payments are made in USD , Euro , pound and ETB, as noted.

Last-Minute Bookings: If booking within 60 days of departure, full payment is required upfront.

Pricing Details

Our pricing reflects the richness of your experience, influenced by factors such as demand and operational costs. The price quoted at booking is guaranteed—secure as the treasures of Aksum.

Surcharges: In rare instances (e.g., significant tax or fuel increases), a surcharge may apply with 30 days’ notice.

Single Travelers: If you prefer solo accommodations, a single supplement will apply—details can be found in your quote.

Cancellation Policy

Plans can change, and we’re here to accommodate. If you cancel your tour with Wisdom Ethiopia Tours: More than 30 days before departure – $500 per person cancellation fee. Between 30 and 15 days before departure – 50% of the total tour cost is non-refundable. Less than 15 days before departure – The full tour cost is forfeited. Please note that airline tickets may be 100% non-refundable depending on airline policies. If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural events), you’ll receive a full refund or an option to reschedule.

Tour Modifications

Need to adjust your plans? We’ll do our best to accommodate changes, though fees may apply depending on availability. If we need to alter the itinerary (e.g., due to weather), we will provide an equally exciting alternative. Minor adjustments are part of the adventure—no refunds apply.

Travel Requirements

Your journey requires preparation:

Passport: Must be valid for 6 months beyond your return date—Ethiopian authorities are strict.

Visa: Securing your Ethiopian visa is your responsibility. We’ll provide guidance, but you must complete the process.

Health: Check vaccination requirements (e.g., yellow fever) with your doctor and adhere to Ethiopia’s entry rules. Bring necessary medications and gear for altitude and heat.

Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory, covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and evacuation. No insurance, no tour—your safety is non-negotiable.

Cultural Respect: Dress modestly at religious sites, seek permission before photographing people, and embrace local customs.

Liability & Risk

By traveling with Wisdom Ethiopia Tours, you accept these risks and take responsibility for your decisions. Our liability is limited to the tour cost paid, in accordance with Ethiopian law.

Ethiopia’s wildlife, including gelada baboons and Ethiopian wolves, is a highlight of your journey. Maintain distance, follow guide instructions, and refrain from feeding animals. Nature’s unpredictability—like mist-covered peaks—adds to the thrill—expects authenticity, not guarantees.

Photography & Media

Capture the beauty of Ethiopia! Your photos and videos are yours to keep. If Wisdom Ethiopia Tours takes images featuring you, we may use them for promotional purposes with your consent. Prefer privacy? Let us know—we respect your choice.

Force Majeure

Unforeseen events—natural disasters, political unrest, or global disruptions—may impact your tour. If such circumstances arise, Wisdom Ethiopia Tours will refund unused portions or offer to reschedule, though additional costs (e.g., rebooked flights) will be your responsibility. Feedback & Complaints

If you’re not satisfied, please inform your guide immediately. If the issue remains unresolved, submit a written complaint within 30 days post-tour, and we will respond with diligence and care.

Legal Framework

These T&Cs are governed by Ethiopian law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Addis Ababa, ideally over a shared coffee to ease the way.
