“World’s Last Tribes of the Omo Valley Premium Sunrise to Sunset Photo Tour” will take you to one of the wildest and most ethnically diverse places on Earth – the Omo Valley.
This is a cultural photo experience during which we will interact with several tribal communities who still live almost exactly as they did hundreds of years ago.
This harsh and inhospitable place has over ten distinctly different tribes existing within a 38 mile / 60 km radius each with its own unique language, clothing, hairstyles and bodily ornamentation. Our photo tour focuses on six of these tribes: the Suri, Mursi, Karo, Hamar, Nyangatom, Ari & Dassanach.

Day 1: Arrive to Addis Ababa Ethiopia – Transfer.
Arrive at Bole international airport, meet and greet our guide and Transfer to your hotel . Overnight hotel
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Arbaminch ( fly ) / Paradise lodge
Fly to the city of forty springs, meet and greet the driver in the airport and Transfer to paradise l;odge , after you cheek in your lodge make a boat trip on Lake Chamo where the longest and fattest crocodiles of Africa take a sunbath on the shores. Hippos hide themselves under the water and you will also see a good range of birds including; weavers, sunbirds, waxbills and colonies of pelicans. After lunch a short drive will take the village of the Dorze tribe. Walk amongst the Dorze people and appreciate their beehive-shaped homes. These tribes are respected as expert weavers. Also, they are expert farmers and witness their ingenious terracing technique, allowing them to farm efficiently along the mountainside and yet prevent soil erosion.

Day 3: Arbaminch – Jinka / Capital of omo valley
In the morning after breakfast , lave the city of Arbaminch to jinka , on this day you will meet and visit Ari tribe village and Jinka Ethographic msusm that will enbale you get highlights abiut omo valley Tribes.

Day 4: Jinka – Mago National Park – Murci tribe – Turmi
Early in the morning drive to Mago National park to visit Mursi tribal village. The tribe is renowned for the now-uncommon custom of their women, upon reaching maturity, having their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted. Afternoon Drive to Turmi via Dimeka , on the way to Turmi , you will have a chance to visit and photograph the bena tribe.

Day 5: Turmi Karo Tribe Village – marekt in Turmi
Turmi is our new base as we explore the region and meet the different tribes who share this valley but live a life uniquely their own. Drive to the Murulle area. Murile (also spelled Muelle and Murli) lies on the banks of the Omo River, and is a popular base for exploring this area. The two main tribes who live here are the Karo who practice scarification and have elaborate hairstyles. The Karo are experts in body painting, using clays and locally available vegetable pigments to trace fantastic patterns on their faces, chests, arms and legs. These designs have no special symbolic significance but instead are created for fun and aesthetic effect, as each artist tries to outdo another. Karo men also sculpt and shave their hair into extravagant shapes, with special ochre “caps” of hair usually containing several ostrich feathers. Drive back to Turmi for lunch , After lunch you will have local market in the town of Turmi where the benna and kara , Hamer tribe will meet to sell their goods . over night lodge
Day 6: Omo delta and Turkana ( Dasncech tribe and Turkana tribe )
Early in the morning heading to kenya border and cross the omo river to meet the dasanech tribe who live on the bank of omo river , visit and photograph the tribe. after we visit Dasanech tribe we drive heading to lake Turkana in the Ethiopian side to meet the turkana tribe . drive back to turmi for your overnight.

Day 7: Yangahtom – Hamer Tribe Village
Early in the morning, drive to Yangatom tribe village, who are one the omo valley tribe, visit and photograph them and back to Turmi, In the afternoon after lunch, you will visit the hamer village and tribe.

Day 8: Turmi – Arbore tribes – Arbaminch
Early in the morning, wake up for the beautiful sunrise in Turmi and walk around the lodge , On the return drive to Arba Minch visit the Arbore tribe who are known for herding cattle and depend on plant cultivation for their basic food. They provide cereal grains for neighboring tribes through trading partnerships. They are considered pastorals and have their own unique physical appearance with the women covering their heads with black cloth and known to wear very colorful necklaces and earrings. Body painting using natural colors is made from soil and stone. Traditional dancing is practiced by the tribe and wealth is measured by the number of cattle a tribesman owns.

Day 9: Arbaminch – Addis Ababa / Departure
Fly back to Addis Ababa, Based on your arrival time in Addis Ababa. pick up from the airport and visit the national museum of Ethiopia and mount Entoto for the panoramic view of Addis Ababa, and late in night you will have farewell dinner in one of the top Traditional restaurant in the city with traditional dance show from different nation, then Transfer to the Airport for your flight home.
