9 Days North historic rout by Air

Day 1: Addis Ababa- up on arrival at Bole international air port and met by representatives and transfer to hotel. After check in to hotel, city tour of Addis. Which includes; National Museum, the home of the famous complete hominid fossil remain of Lucy dates 3.2 million years back, Mount Entoto, panoramic view point at the highest peak in Addis with an altitude of 3200 meter above sea level, Trinity Cathedral, a beautiful church with a baroque style of European architecture unique to both Ethiopia and Africa, Ethnographic Museum and Merkato (the largest open air market in Africa). Overnight in kaleb hotel

Day 2: Addis- Bahir dar- early in the morning transfer in to airport to fly to Bahir dar. After check-in to hotel journey by sympathetic African plains eventually leads to the mighty Blue Nile fall commonly known as “Tis Isat” (water that smokes). After hiking the cataracts drive back to Bahir dar. Overnight in hotel

Day 3: Bahir Dar– After breakfast boat rides on Lake Tana. On Lake Tana time has still stood and dominated by an archaic, dating from early Christian mysticism and the religious interpretations of African art are characterized by the Ethiopian Christianity, and the world’s Old Testament is still practiced. Visit Azua Mariam and Ura kidane Mihret monasteries which are rich in icon painting. Overnight in Homland Hotel

Day 4: Bahir dar- Gondar- after breakfast drives to Gondar, which was one of the hidden cities of the foreign trade area in the 17th century AD. Gondar is the site of ancient castle building palaces of different emperors constructed in the European middle age architectural style. After check-in to hotel visit the curious symbiosis of Ethiopian and Portuguese architectural representation of the Royal Enclosure which is also known as” the Camelot of Africa”, the iconic church of Debre Birehan selassie, bath of king Fasilledes which still in use for the colorful celebration of Ethiopian epiphany (Timket). Overnight in Homland Hotel

Day 5: Gonder- semen mountains park- Gonder- after breakfast drives from Gondar to Semen mountains national park which is the most marvelous of all Abyssinian landscapes. Semen Mountain National Park constitutes many summits above 4000masl and culminates at Ras Dashen, the highest peak in Ethiopian and it is the home of the endemics gelada baboon, Ethiopian wolf and Walya ibex. After visit drives back to Gonder and overnight AG Hotel

Day 6: Gonder- Axum- early in the morning transfer in to airport to fly to the ancient town of Axum. after check-in to hotel visit the imposing stele of Axum, which are among the oldest and most curious monolith in the world, a UNESCO world cultural heritage, belong to the tombs of the Axumite kings, the palace and the bath of queen of Sheba, the Cathedral St. Mary of Zion in which the original Moses’ Ark of the Covenant is preserved, the Modern Cathedral, the Archeological Museum and the Ruins of the Royal Palace. Overnight in Consular Hotel

Day 7: Axum- Lalibela- morning transfer in to airport to fly to the legendary and the framed of Ascetic Mountain town of Lalibela. After check-in to hotel, full day visits the 12th c. Rock-Hewn Churches; Lalibela is famous for its rock hewn churches and these brilliant feats of engineering and architecture are often referred to as the 8th wonder of the World. There are many rock churches in Lalibela some hidden in enormous caves. Overnight will be in Lal Hotel

Day 8: Lalibela– on this day visit the picturesque, impressive landscape of the Lalibela surrounds and Nakutoleab Rock Hewn church. Overnight in Lal Hotel

Day 9: Lalibela- Addis- morning transfer in to airport to fly back to Addis Ababa. In the afternoon, you will have leisure and shopping time. In the evening, farewell traditional dinner in one of the best restaurant in Addis followed by folkloric dance of different Ethiopian nations. Then transfer to airport to fly back to home, where the tour ends.

Day 8- Lalibela- Addis- morning transfer in to airport to fly back to Addis Ababa. Evening you will have farewell traditional diner followed different folkloric dance of Ethiopian nations. Then transfer to airport to fly back home

7 Days Historic Route Flight

Day1: Addis Ababa
arrival at Addis Ababa international airport and be welcomed by Wisdom Ethiopia Tours and transfer to your hotel. Day2: Addis Ababa- Bahirdar.
Transfer the air port and fly to barhirdar and be transferred in to the tana hotel. bahardar is a modrn town on the shore of lake tan , the blue Nile falls, locally known as “tis isat “meaning water that smokes”35kilometers downstream from the p point where the Nile river leaves the lake tana. The walk to the falls passes through lush reverie woodland teeming with colorful birds. after lunch in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on lade tana to visit the famous ancient island monasteries of ura Kidane meheret that is one of the several in the area containg frescos, elaborate painted ceilings, churches crosses, crowns and attires of former ethioian kings and emperors, in most fo lake tana monasteries time has stood still and the world of the old testament yet alive. Overnight at hotel

Day3: Bahirdaar-Gonder.
after breakfast drive to gondar on the way enjoy the beautiful landscape fo the country, after lunch and check in to the hotel visit 17th century castles of the gondrian kings which is also known as African Camelot and it site the site of ancient castles building palaces of different emperors constructed in the European middle age architectural style, and also visit emperor Fasil’s swimming  pool , which is still in use for the temket (the Ethiopian epiphany)festival  held every January 19 and also debere berhan Silassie church which is rich in icon paintings , that depict the old and the new testament , from the bible. Overnight in hotel
Day4: Gonder-Sankaber-Gonder.
In the morning drive to Sankaber and proceed to simen mountain national park, which is one of the world heritage sites the area found to semen mountain national park which is one of he world heritage sites the area found in Ethiopia in the park you will trek to see the beautiful landscape the endemic gelada baboon and different kinds of birds of prey. In the late afternoon drive back to gonder and over night at hotel.
Day5: Gonder Lalibela.
Transfer to the airport and fly to the legendary town of Lalibela after check in to the hotel, visit the first and the second group of rock churches in Lalibela town m dating back to the 12th century and which is considered to be one of the 8th wonders of the world. Over night at hotel
Day6: Lalibella.
In the morning half day excursion by mule to Asheton mariam to visit the churches that lie on the top of the mountain, the church itself is similar in style to other rock churches , but the panoramic view of the surroundings is spectacular from the mountain top . Return to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon spent visiting more of the rock churches in lalibella town. Overnight at hotel
Day 7: Lalibela –Axum.
Transfer to the airport and fly to axum town. Here you will visit steles, whilch is considered to be probably the oldwst monolithic stand in the world, the church compound of st.mary fo zion. Which is the seat of the true moose’s Ark of the Covenant, queen fo sheba’s bath, king kaleb’s and gebremeskel’s tombs, and archeological museum.
After lunch flay back to Addis .  After traditional dinner transfer to Air port , flay back to home .

5 Days North historic by Air

DAY 01: ARRIVALADDIS ABABA
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, our representatives will meet you at Bole International Airport and transfer you to the Harmony Hotel. Enjoy the morning of leisure and enjoy lunch at the hotel. This afternoon visit historical sites including the National Archaeological Museum, to view the 3.6 million year old remains of “Lucy”, whose skeleton was discovered in 1974. Continue to the Ethnological Museum at Addis Ababa University; a great insight into the many different peoples of Ethiopia and their respective cultures. After visiting Holy Trinity Cathedral, we will end the day with a drive to the top of Mount Entoto, which rises to an altitude of 10,500 feet and offers a panoramic view of the metropolis.

DAY 02: Bahir Dar
Board your early morning flight to Bahir Dar and drive to the small town of TissAbay to visit the Blue Nile Falls, locally known as Tis Isat or ‘Smoke of Fire’.Even though much of the water has been diverted to power local hydroelectric generators, the Falls is still an intriguing sight. The surrounding area is extremely fertile and the Amhara people who live here farm wheat, sorghum and teff, the prime ingredient for making injera, the national bread and increasingly popular, gluten-free super-food you may have heard of back in the United States. Visit the market in Bahir Dar, where you can see colourful woven clothing, basketry, cereals, spices and other local goods. Opt to climb up to Bezawit, the palace of Haile Selassie which lies on a hill 5km outside of Bahir Dar. The panoramic views of the Blue Nile River, Lake Tana and the town are beautiful.

Day 03 :to Gondar (UNESCO SITE)
Drive  to Gondar once the old imperial capital founded in 1635 by Emperor Fasillides who built a palace and seven churches. Referred to as the “Camelot of Africa”, visit the royal enclosure containing six castles, a complex network of connecting tunnels and raised walkways. Proceed to the fascinating Debre Birhan Selassie Church with its walls and ceiling decorated with scenes of Biblical lore and medieval history.

Day 03: TO LALIBELA (UNESCO SITE)
This morning fly to the most unique Christian sites of Ethiopia.
Lalibela’s churches are collectively referred to as ‘The Eighth Wonder of the World’.  Legend has it that Emperor Lalibela had been instructed, in a vision from God, to build the new Jerusalem after returning from Jerusalem which was sacked by the Muslims. Visit the 11 majestic, rock churches that are still used as places of worship by Lalibelans. Since its relatively remote location, Lalibela has yet gained the worldwide exposure and has been compared as the “Petra of Africa

Day 04:TO AXUM
This is the heart of ancient Ethiopia, the capital of the Kingdom of Axum which was the most powerful state between the Eastern Roman Empire and Persia. The archaeological and historical attractions in Axum include monolithic steles or obelisks, the tombs of King Kaleb and King GebreMeskal, the legendary Bath of the Queen of Sheba, and the ruins of her ancient palace. Also visit the new and the old Cathedral of St Mary of Tsion (Zion) and the sanctuary that houses the original Arc of the Covenant. The older of the two cathedrals, built in the 16th century, is believed to be built on the ruins of an earlier 4th century church, and is the holiest site in Ethiopia

Day 05: TO  ADDIS
Board your flight to Ethiopia’s capital city. Visit the ‘Merkato’, the largest open-air market in East Africa. Late this afternoon enjoy a “farewell dinner” and coffee ceremony at a famous traditional Ethiopian restaurant. After sampling the various national dishes and enjoy an Ethiopian Folkloric transfer to the airport.
